1 Year Anniversary!

Today me and my boyfriend have been together for a year! WOW. We've been away in Edinburgh this week as a little break/anniversary trip - we planned it without actually realising that we would be away on our anniversary! We're going home today but the week has been amazing.

On our first day here, we got here early so had a full day shopping on Princes Street and I got these baby's.

My Vans - Love them!
£40.00 from Schuh

On the Saturday, our second day, we went to the Edinburgh Butterfly & Insect World (http://www.edinburgh-butterfly-world.co.uk/) which was amazing. I would recommend it to anybody - with or without children! You have the butterfly room which is basically a jungle full of butterflies and other little things such as snails, lovely flowers and fish. There is also a lovely feature waterfall which is beautiful.

I love this photo - it's a view of all the cocoons that are getting ready to become butterflies. I think it's lovely.

I think this butterfly is cute with it's little tinges of zebra print in it.

I adore this butterfly - they look quite boring and brown when their wings are shut which is misguiding as when they open them, they look lovely and bright.

You also have the reptile & insect room which is amazing. The animals vary from huge snakes to little glow-in-the-dark scorpions to tarantulas! There was a handling session going on while we were there but we chickened out!

Looking at this, I could just imagine getting stuck in there like on Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone!

This is a bearded dragon - shame it didn't breathe fire. Jack would have loved that.

If you look real close, this is the glow-in-the-dark scorpion!

This tarantula had it's own house and everything. The spider is in the bottom right corner, beside the fireplace.

On Monday, we took a trip to Ocean Terminal, hoping to get a chance to see the Royal Britannia Ship which is based there but unfortunately there was no spaces left :( the bus we got there took TWO HOURS and two hours back - we spent four hours on a bus and all we got was a Greggs pasty!

Tuesday, we stayed in too but on the night I lost my nacho virginity - yes, it's took me 17 years to have nachos!!

Nacho's Baby!

On the Wednesday, we took Jack swimming at Xcite Livingston and he loved it!! It's the first time he's ever been swimming without screaming the place down - think it's because his confidence is growing and he's getting more comfortable in different situations. No photo's allowed though - would have loved to have caught a few snaps of him!

Thursday & Friday being our last day's here, we have just been chilling in the house although today is payday so a McDonald's treat is 100% in order!

That's my doing's over the past week in Edinburgh... More interesting posts will follow :-)

First blog post!

Well. This is the beginning of my blog where everything in my life, everything I'm interested in and everything that matters to me is published to the world. People can have their opinions, comment here, comment what you want.. Good or bad, what do you think? Good? That's great, glad you like it. Bad? Constructive criticism which I will take with open arms. I hope to give you an interesting read which you will come back to and get updates from. This blog is somewhere where I can go when I'm by myself and I can lose myself in writing things - I want it to be like that for you too - a normal blog, written by a normal, young mother who writes about all the trials and tribulations in my life :-)

Please follow! :-)
